#PopJustice: Social Justice and the Promise of Pop Culture Strategies

Conceptualized and led by Liz Manne, the #PopJustice series of reports was created by leading practitioners working at the intersection of popular culture and social change with the goal of helping funders, advocates, campaigners, and entertainment industry professionals understand and invest in the promise and potential of pop culture strategies for social impact and political change. Published in 2016, and building upon the Culture Group’s seminal guidebook Making Waves: A Guide to Cultural Strategy, #PopJustice helped lead to the creation of the Pop Culture Collaborative, which provides grantmaking, collaborative learning, and other support to those working in pop culture for social change.
